Consortia delivery

Working in partnership towards social impact

As a third sector organisation, you will understand that some of your sector’s service delivery relies on the successful running and growth of social enterprises. But due to the complex nature of many of the procurement processes, smaller and spin-off social enterprises can struggle to compete and win contracts.

At Inspire2Enterprise, we build consortia to help social enterprises work together to bid for, and win public and private sector contracts. By working together, small social enterprises can compete on a level playing field, build their capacity to deliver on large contracts through peer support and share experience and expertise. All of these benefits work towards increasing exposure to private investors and access to potential funding routes.

Other benefits of consortia delivery:

  • Pooling resources and expertise to make a greater impact and enhance quality of service
  • Create proposals and bid documents in partnership, to tick all the boxes for clients and commissioners
  • Working in partnership to develop service and delivery models
  • Sharing knowledge and skills to develop pioneering solutions
  • Publicising best practice

Our role is to broker potential consortium partners and act as the vital link between social enterprises and the social investment community.

Avoiding the risks of consortia working

The opportunities of working in consortia outweigh the risks, as long as you understand what these are. Will your services complement each other? Are your objectives aligned? Will you benefit equally from the partnership?

Our experts will assess and manage risk so your organisation only experiences the benefits of consortia working. Get in touch to find out more.

Consortia working can bring specific benefits both in terms of the quality of service that beneficiaries receive, and for consortia members who may experience increased access to funding; capacity-building; peer learning and support; shared resources and raised profile.
