£17.5 million risk-capital social investment fund launched

Nesta has launched a £17.5 million social investment fund that will make investments of between £150,000 and £2.5 million in social sector organisations.

The Impact Investments will provide risk-capital investments, in which the fund shares some of the risk with the investee. Eligible organisations are charities, social enterprises and for-profit organisations with social missions.

Organisations working in Nesta’s core areas of interest will also be eligible. These are health and wellbeing for an ageing populations, education and employability for young people, and sustainable communities.
