Interns and placements

Offering placements and taking on interns can be a great way to bring fresh ideas and talent to your social enterprise.

The University of Northampton is the UK’s number one university for employability – a significant percentage of graduates go on to secure good, stable employment. A big part of this success is down to the meaningful work placements that the University arranges. Always related to the student’s degree subject, they are designed to pique interest and make employee/employer introductions for the future of the UK’s workforce.

Effective, flexible placement options

An important part of the work we do at Inspire2Enterprise is to encourage and facilitate placements with the social enterprise sector. Given our status as a social enterprise and our focus on helping this market to thrive, we are keen to give students the opportunity to carry out work placements within enterprises. These placements or internships can be short or long term and paid or unpaid; work shadowing days can also be arranged.

Pool of talent

Some of the UK’s brightest minds will come out of the University of Northampton. This is our opportunity to share the talent pool and identify the tangible benefits for the student and for the social enterprise. The University’s Centre for Engagement and Employment is dedicated to making the most suitable matches between social enterprise and high-quality, hard-working students. This means you can be assured that the venture will be a worthwhile one.
