Persimmon Homes open £1m funding stream to support health, sport and education

Home builders, Persimmon Homes, have recently announced a new funding stream designed to support children in health, sport, education and the arts.

The Building Futures competition sees Persimmon joining forces with the British Olympic Association, Team GB, to give away over £1 million in the run up to the next Olympic Games in Tokyo.

In 2018, the company ran a similar competition, dubbed ‘Healthy Communities’, which gave away over £600,000 to support youth sport, with the overall winner (Heart of England Boxing Club) walking away with £200,000.

The 2019 Building Futures campaign is considerably more ambitious and offers even greater rewards, all of which are designed to bring positive change to as many children in England, Wales and Scotland as possible.

This could be a fantastic opportunity for social enterprises that operate in either the health, sport or education sectors and who need funding. With monthly cash donations ranging from £100,000 to £1,000, it’s a chance not to be missed.
