Welcome to the latest newsletter from Inspire2Enterprise, providing you with the latest news, funding news and useful links for the social enterprise sector.
The seventh SE100 annual report (published by NatWest) has been published. Some key findings were:
- Average year on year growth in turnover for the established social enterprise in 61%
- 84% of the enterprises are SME’s or micro-enterprises
- 57% reported a positive growth in their turnover
Demonstrating that social enterprises are growing, they are reinvesting millions into doing good and providing jobs.
Latest Funding News
Santander and Crowdfunder Renew Innovation Partnership
Following a successful pilot, Santander UK will be providing £200,000 additional funding for social enterprise and community projects. The fund so far has provided nearly £200,000 to 33 projects to date, supporting projects all over the UK. As well as access to the £200,000 matched funding from Santander, projects will benefit from the Crowdfunding team specialists with education, enterprise and coaching support to unlock the further funds and create lasting impacts in communities across the UK.
First for Wellbeing Fund
The First for Wellbeing Fund will offer grants from £500 up to £10,000 to develop ongoing project activity or initiate new project activity supporting people’s health and wellbeing. To check your eligibility or apply, visit the website.
The Avon Female Empowerment Fund
The fund’s key priority is to support projects across Northamptonshire that improve the quality of life for women and girls. Quarterly awards will be made for this fund between £250 and £3,000. As above, to check eligibility, full details and apply, visit the website.
Northamptonshire Community Foundation
A useful grant finder tool that doesn’t require registration. Covers grants in Northamptonshire and makes use of a simple selection tool, allowing you to find grants that relate to your social enterprise’s field.
